An order becomes binding the moment the supplier confirms it with Confirm order — the buyer's Start orders step is only the formal version of the offer.
The sequence: each winning supplier gets a separate order, and every order carries its own status. When the buyer starts the orders, the status turns Issued — the buyer's formal purchase offer. From here the buyer's side is read-only; the decision belongs to the supplier, taken on their own order screen. If the supplier confirms the order as issued, the status becomes Confirmed, and that is the exact moment the contract is formed.
If the supplier counters on price or date instead, the status becomes Change proposed and the decision passes to the buyer: Accept change confirms the order and makes it binding, while Reject moves the order to Cancelled and sends that line back for re-sourcing.
Every confirmation stays on the platform as an Order confirmation record: Document no, both company names, the line and total figures as they stood at issue, the Incoterm · Payment · Delivery terms, plus the issue and confirmation timestamps. A demand counts as completed only once every order on it is confirmed.
Opening a demand and collecting offers creates no obligation on its own.
