Signing in and resetting your password

Last updated on Jul 29, 2026

You can sign in to MarbleMap with your email address and password, or with your Google account. If you can't remember your password, you can reset it yourself without contacting the support team.

Signing in

  1. Open the Sign in screen.
  2. In the Email field, enter the address you used when you registered.
  3. Enter your password in the Password field. To check what you have typed, tap the eye icon at the right of the field to switch between Show password and Hide password.
  4. Press the Sign in button.

Where you land after signing in depends on the state of your account:

  • If your account has been approved, you go straight to the My Dashboard screen.
  • If your account is still under review (awaiting approval), you are taken to the registration completion flow, which starts with the Tell us about your company step, rather than to the dashboard. This is normal — accounts awaiting approval are always directed here after sign-in.

If you don't have an account yet, use the Create a free account link at the bottom of the screen.

If your password or email is incorrect

When the details don't match, you see a single message on screen:

Email or password is incorrect.

This wording is deliberate. The system does not distinguish between "this email isn't registered" and "the password is wrong"; otherwise, someone acting in bad faith could work out which addresses are registered on MarbleMap simply by trying them one by one.

Below that message you'll find the Don't have an account? Register now option. If you genuinely don't have an account, this takes you to the registration screen in a single click, and what you just typed is carried over so you don't have to enter it again.

If an incorrect password is entered several times in a row, your account is locked briefly. While the lock is in place you will get the same "Email or password is incorrect." message even if you enter the correct password. If this happens, wait a short while and try again, or use the password reset flow described below.

In some cases you may see different messages — for example, if you haven't verified your email address yet, a verification notice appears.

Signing in with Google

If you'd rather not type a password, you can use the Continue with Google button. Once you have selected your account and granted permission on Google's own screen, you are returned to MarbleMap.

  • If a company record is already linked to your account, you are directed to the screen that matches your account state, just as with a normal sign-in.
  • If you don't have a company record, the Just one more step screen opens, where you enter a few details about your company and complete your registration.

If something goes wrong on Google's side, you are returned to the Sign in screen and the error is explained at the top of it.

If you forgot your password

The reset consists of three separate screens. You start it on the Sign in screen by pressing the Forgot your password? link, immediately to the right of the Password heading.

Step 1 — Reset your password

Enter your email address and press the Send reset code button. You move directly to step 2, where you always see the same notice:

If an account exists for this email, a reset code has been sent.

This message is identical whether or not the address is registered — again, for security reasons. If you change your mind, the ← Back to sign in link on this screen takes you back to the sign-in screen.

Step 2 — Enter verification code

A 6-digit code is sent to your email. Enter it in the six boxes on screen and press the Continue button. The code is valid for 10 minutes.

If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder; if it still isn't there, request a new code with Resend code. When you request a new code, the boxes are cleared and, from that point on, only the most recent code is valid. If you notice you entered the wrong address, the Wrong email address? Go back and change it. link at the bottom of this screen takes you back to step 1.

At this step the code itself is not yet checked — the system only verifies that all six digits have been entered. If the code is incorrect or has expired, you only find out at the final step, when you press Reset password. In that case the system automatically brings you back to this screen and shows the warning "The code is invalid or has expired."; you can then re-enter the code or request a new one and continue.

Step 3 — Set your new password

Fill in the New password and Confirm new password fields. The new password must be at least 12 characters long and use at least 4 different characters; very common passwords are refused. As you type, a bar appears beneath it showing the strength of your password (Weak, Fair, Strong). If the two fields don't match, nothing is saved.

Press the Reset password button. When the operation succeeds, the message Your password has been reset. Redirecting to sign in… appears.

After the reset

Resetting your password does not sign you in automatically. After a brief notice you are returned to the Sign in screen, where you sign in with your new password. The reset code you used is single-use and will not work a second time.

If you haven't forgotten your password but simply want to change it, follow exactly the same route: start the three-step flow from the Forgot your password? link on the Sign in screen.
