How do I publish my draft demand?

Last updated on Jul 29, 2026

Opening a saved draft demand to suppliers takes a single button. Below you will find how to publish, which fields to check before you do, and what changes once the demand is live.

What a draft is

A draft is a demand that only you can see — it has not gone out to the Marketplace yet. Suppliers cannot see it and cannot send you offers. It appears in your My Demands list with a Draft badge.

Publishing a draft

  1. Open the My Demands page.
  2. In the Filters panel on the left, select Draft under Status, or find the card carrying the Draft badge in the list.
  3. Tap the Publish button at the bottom of the card. The button briefly reads Publishing…, and then the card's badge changes to Published.

If you want to change something in the demand before publishing, use the Continue button next to Publish on the same card to return to the demand wizard. Clicking the card itself also takes you straight to the wizard. Make your correction and go live with the Publish demand button on the final step.

The three-dot menu on the right of the card (More actions) offers Edit, Duplicate (new demand), Messages and Cancel for a draft.

Publishing from inside the wizard

If you left work unfinished on the New Demand screen, a You have an unfinished demand notice appears at the top. Choose Continue to pick up from the step where you stopped; choose Start over and you are first asked to confirm Discard draft? — once you confirm, the saved information is deleted and you move on to an empty demand.

The wizard advances step by step: Demand, Delivery, Budget, (if you opened an itemised demand) Products, Options and Review. The final step, Review, opens under the heading Everything ready? and summarises every section you filled in on a single page. To change a line, tap the Edit link beside it; you are taken back to the relevant step.

There are two buttons on this screen: Save draft keeps the demand to yourself, while Publish demand opens it to suppliers.

Check before you publish

On the Review screen, make sure the following fields are correct:

  • Category — this is how suppliers find your demand.
  • Delivery country and Delivery point — exactly where the goods are to be delivered directly affects the supplier's freight pricing.
  • Pricing currency — offers are compared in this currency.
  • Offer closing date — the last date and time on which suppliers can submit an offer.
  • If you opened an itemised demand, the product list — the name, quantity and unit of each product.

After publishing

Your demand becomes visible on the Marketplace and suppliers can start bidding. The card now carries a View offers button, and as offers arrive their count appears next to the button.

One important detail: the demand closes to editing the moment the first offer arrives. Until then, you can make changes with the Edit demand button on the demand page. Once the first offer comes in, that button disappears and the page displays the notice "The demand can no longer be edited once the first offer has arrived. You can cancel it or review the offers."; from that point your only option is Cancel demand. This is why the final check before publishing matters.

If you want to stop collecting offers on a live demand, use Close from the three-dot menu; before it closes you are asked to confirm "Close this demand? All suppliers will be notified."
