Completing your application and the approval process

Last updated on Jul 29, 2026

Once you have created your account, MarbleMap asks you to tell us about your company. This information is what our team uses to verify your business: after you submit your application, your account goes into review, and the platform opens up once it is approved.

Tell us about your company

The first step is the Tell us about your company screen. In the screen's own words: "This helps our team verify your account. Only required fields for now — you can add more from Settings later."

Two fields are required:

  1. Company name — must be at least 2 characters.
  2. Country — picked from a list; you can also search to find it.

The other three fields are optional and can be left blank:

  • Website — "Helps buyers and our team verify your company."
  • VAT / Tax number — required for invoicing; if you skip it now, you can add it later from the Settings › Company Profile page.
  • Phone — if you enter one, it has to be a valid number for the country you selected.

Country and phone are filled in for you

The country field is pre-selected for you whenever your connection's location can be detected. This is only a guess: if you are on a VPN or a proxy server it may land on the wrong country, and if the location cannot be read at all the field stays empty and you make the choice yourself. When it has been picked automatically, you will see the note "Auto-selected from your location — change if needed" below the field; if it is wrong, simply choose another country from the list. The country code in front of the phone field follows that same choice: "Country code is set from your country selection." While no country is selected, a globe icon sits at the start of the phone field.

Fill in the fields and press Continue. Your details are saved.

What stone do you supply?

This step only appears in the flow for accounts whose role is Supplier or Both. Accounts with the Buyer role go straight from Continue to the application summary; they are not allowed to set stone categories in the first place.

The screen has two required selections:

  • Stone categories — click the categories you work with to mark them. "Select at least one." Clicking a selected category again clears it.
  • Primary supply region — select your main supply region. "Helps buyers search by origin region."

The note at the bottom of the screen sums up how the process works: "Our team reviews every company before approving access. This usually takes 1 business day."

When you press Continue, your selections are saved and you move on to the summary screen.

Review your application

The Review your application screen is your final check before submitting: "Check that everything looks right before submitting."

The summary card headed Your application contains these rows:

  • Role
  • Company — with an Edit link beside it
  • Country — with an Edit link beside it
  • Categories — for Supplier and Both only; with an Edit link beside it
  • Region — for Supplier and Both only; with an Edit link beside it

Edit on the Company or Country row takes you back to the company details step, while Edit on the Categories or Region row takes you back to the categories step. Once you have made your correction and moved forward again, you return to this summary.

One thing to watch out for: when you go back to the categories step, the screen opens empty — the categories you ticked and the region you chose earlier do not come back pre-selected. If you return to this step, you have to make your selections from scratch.

If everything is correct, press the Submit application button.

Your application is under review

After submitting, you move on to the Your application is under review screen. At the top you will see the Under review badge and the email address you applied with. Directly below it is the What you submitted card: Company, Role, Country, Categories (if you are a supplier) and Email.

The progress timeline on the screen has three steps:

  1. Application submitted — "Your information was received successfully" (completed)
  2. Admin review — "Our team is verifying your company details" (the step you are currently on)
  3. Access granted — "Sign in to your dashboard and start posting demands"

As the Expected review time box states, the vast majority of applications are reviewed within 1 business day. You will be notified of the outcome by email.

Tracking your status

This screen checks your status by itself every 30 seconds, even if you do nothing. If you would rather not wait, the Check status button queries it immediately. If your application is still in the queue, you will see a short note: "Still under review — we'll email you as soon as it's done."

The moment your application is approved, you move on to My Dashboard without having to refresh the page. If your application is not approved, or if your account is suspended, your session ends and you are redirected to the Sign in screen.

For any questions, you can use the Questions? Contact support link on the screen.
