Can I see which company opened the demand?

Yes — the name of the buyer company behind a demand is shown to you. What MarbleMap hides is the offers, not the buyer's identity.

On the Marketplace screen, every demand card carries the buyer's company name under the title. Open the demand and the same name appears right below the heading, this time as a link: it takes you to that company's profile, where you can see its Verified business status, location, website and how long it has been on MarbleMap. So you know exactly who you are quoting before you price anything.

The sealed side is the bidding. Under sealed-bid rules no supplier sees rival offers, their prices, or even how many offers a demand has received — that figure appears on no screen. Buyers cannot see each other's demands either. Only the buyer sees all offers side by side and compares them.

In short: buyer identity open, offers sealed. The split is deliberate — you need to know who you are dealing with, while the bidding stays closed so competition stays fair.
